Why another URL shrinker? Aren't there enough of these things around already?
There are certainly a number of URL replacement web sites around and, to be honest, Link Shrink probably doesn't offer much to distinguish itself from those sites. However, I was needing to shorten some URLs and thought it would be an interesting exercise to write my own shrinker. Thus, Tree Frog Link Shrink was born.
Currently, Link Shrink can reduce your URL to http://tflnk.com/ followed by a 3-character code that will uniquely identify your URL. Eventually, I'll need to extend beyond three characters, but that should be a good ways off. I also plan to allow you to request your own unique code, such as http://tflnk.com/mylink. That should come pretty soon.
If you run your own web site and would like to generate shortened URLs to include in e-mails, etc., I will be making an API available so you can generate shortened links programmatically and you will be able to manage your links and track their usage.
